Manchester United are struggling to find a buyer for outcast Jadon Sancho as the feud between himself and manager Erik ten Hag continues to rumble on behind the scenes.

The England international arrived at Old Trafford in the summer of 2021 for a blockbuster fee of £73m. Sancho was regarded as one of the most exciting talents in world football but the move to Manchester has not worked out and he has managed just nine goals across two seasons – which is a far cry from the form he had produced at Borussia Dortmund.

The 23-time England international was expected to kick on in his third season in the Premier League but has instead made the headlines for all the wrong reasons due to his public feud with Erik ten Hag.

Sancho was not selected for his side’s defeat to Arsenal on 3 September, with ten Hag criticising the player’s performances in training. The 23-year-old responded with a scathing social media attack, which has since been deleted, where he described his manager’s comments as untrue and claimed he would no longer be used as a scapegoat.

The winger has been forced to train away from the first team group since the incident and the pair have become no closer to settling their differences.

Ten Hag’s decision to freeze Sancho out of the first team picture entirely has prompted the inevitable rumours of a departure for a player that is believed to be earning an eye watering £350,000 a week.
